OHECC Graphic Design Project

During my internship with the University of Cincinnati's Conference and Event Services, I had the opportunity to work directly with clients to create an event using their vision while incorporating my knowledge to provide the best services, resources, and tools to make their experience special for both the client and attendees; Top to Bottom Event Planning including finances, housing if needed, conference location, travels, food, marketing, registration, parking, accommodations, and more.

I was able to use Adobe Creative Cloud Software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create graphic designs for event(s) such as logos, passports, event cash, signage, pamphlets, sponsor sheets, and more to bring the client’s vision to life by create various models to choose from.

Creation Process

Direction & Purpose

During the 2022 Ohio Higher Education Computing Council (OHECC) Conference at Ohio University, I created a passport for the Day 3 activities of view various IT vendor, manufacturers, and exhibitors. This process was done in Adobe InDesign to form the layout and Illustrator to create the background of the pages and front cover; as seen to the left. Also during the project I was able to work with the client to create OHECC Cash for another event they were having during this conference; I did this in both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I first created 3 designs with the logos provided for the conference as well as using the CYMK tones from the conference location, in this case Ohio University, to incorporate an extra touch of customization. I used this same idea throughout the breadth of graphic designs created for this conference. I then sent the client the 3 trial designs to gather their feedback and personal preferences to give them a variety of ideas to choose from or expand on. After receiving their critique and vision I then designed the final 4 OHECC Cash templates to be used, as seen on the below on the right.
